Duo maps are allowed, also if you want you can ask for help for MT or the screenshot, but make sure your map stays as secret as possible .

I like the first one the best--that could be fun. Variations on the "Compact" theme have been done before, and it's always a good one too IMO.

Based on your description, it looks like you did everything correctly. Did you have ManiaPlanet open when you added the signs to the folder? I believe ManiaPlanet needs to be restarted before any new signs appear.

without any codec you would have single images as frames, each image ~ 3mb jpg
x264 compresses good, but quality loss ..
