Did you tried this? Place your mouse over the titlepack you want to unload, press "del" and voilà ;)

When you embed the object, it will automatically load so there is no need for a locator ;) So unfortunately there isn't a way to make the objects any smaller in size :(

Stupid question here: does the usage of a locator affect the number of items I can embed? i.e. if I use an object with a locator, or if I use the same object without its locator, does it take the same space in the final Map.Gbx file?
