I am listening to nearly everthing one time, but just if it sounds nice I will put it on a second time.

There is nothing better on this earth than Linkin Park
Really don't know why but it doesn't matter if I'm happy, sad or even angry they always hit the mood I think.
No More Sorrow

You even can listen to David Guetta
Especially his Sexy Bitch or Memories reminds me of good old summer parties with my school friends.

I'm also listening some good rock/punk stuff like Rise Against, Green Day, 30 Seconds To Mars, Guano Apes and Billy Talent

To chill out after work or even when doing something important like school stuff or so I listen to soundtrack-music like Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings

In case you missed it. Yesterday was Freddie Mercury's Birthday. Probably the best rock voice to have ever graced our ears.

Full stream of the Live at Wembley set: http://youtu.be/vPUqQrMEs2Y (Dunno how long this will stay on though...)

Sorry, as good as Queen is, my vote is for Roger Daltrey. The big 'yeah' towards the end of 'Won't get Fooled Again' is one of the most recognizable things in rock and roll

Mhm, never been too much of a The Who fan (probably because I know too few songs, maybe should get me some then :-P) Anyway I still think Mercury is/was better. Guess it's a matter of taste :-)

If you like to listen to The Who, you should get Live at Leeds - 25th Anniversary Edition (the one with 14 songs).
I love The Who, but I hardly listen to any studio album, because they rock much more on live recordings.
I would even argue that there's hardly any rock-stuff that hasn't been done by The Who on this records. Maybe I'm going a bit too far, but this record seems like a preview of what's to come in rock.
Don't like the 80s stuff they have done.

You're right. The bands in question are very different. Queen was imaginative with their stuff, but it was always rigidly structured. The Who jams out more imo. Less structure, more jamming. All of the players in The Who always seemed to be reaching for spotlight, especially Keith Moon :p

I just prefer the more loosely structured music, and that definitely reflects in my tastes as they stand now. When I write, I tend to loop the background stuff and improvise until I find something that I like, as opposed to sticking in a sequence of notes that I know will work. I'm not saying that that's what Queen did, I'm just saying that I like to jam

I feel weird about publishing some of the things I've done ... nothing has been mastered yet. Sometime tomorrow (it's after 3am local time), I'll send you a pm with some links in it.

Hah, I think I actually have this one floating around on my HD somewhere... :-) And yea, Keith Moon is amazing (so is Pete Townshend). Tho I can appreciate musicians who don't always want the spotlight aswell ;-)

Btw, that 'YEAH' is only recognizable because of CSI Miami =p Just kidding... :d

Tho I think Queen had more memorable moments, but as I said earlier, it's all about personal opinions :-)
