Hi there, new player here
i got the game yesterday, and i wanted to try out some press forward maps
none of them are working?
Is there something im supposed to change or what?
i hold down forward, and it will go well for a few seconds then it doesnt go where the track intended and just flies off the map or hits a blank wall
why?

I think it's because you're testing PF before the update of Maniaplanet 4. I also met this problem and I think that with this update the physics of the game has changed a little bit (I'm not sure )
If you want to play PF you have to play updated PFs.

i hope they can add backwards compatibiliity if the map creators cant update

Maybe check YouTube. Many PF maps already had videos made of them.

One of the things that changed between ManiaPlanet 3 and ManiaPlanet 4, in Canyon for instance, is that the car starts with the wheels on the ground, instead of the wheels slightly above the ground. Little changes like this, in addition to updated block geometries which optimized the game, broke most PF maps. I don't think any backwards compatibility will be added for such maps.

For normal race maps, we can update them. For PF maps, it's probably a lost cause. But at least we have replays.

okay i understand I guess i'll just have to make pf maps of my own in the new editor then
