MTC February 2016 - Waiting line 2016-02-01 21:02:57

Welcome to the ManiaExchange Monthly Track Contest (MTC), February 2016.

In the MTC your task is to build a track on a given theme (see below). Later on, all of the entered tracks will be rated and a winner will be found.

  • Theme of the Month: Waiting Line
All checkpoints must be placed in a line.
    • Each checkpoint must be placed right next to another checkpoint.
    • All checkpoints must be build in one straight line.
    • Use at least 3 checkpoints.
    • All checkpoints must be at the same height (If cps are more than 1 block high, it is enough if all cps overlap at one height)

  • Deadline
All tracks should be submitted before the end of Sunday 21, February 2016 PDT.

  • Prize
:gold: Honour and the right to brag! (Jozii used to say that. I hope anyone still remembers him? :p)
:gold: The top 3 winners will receive a showcase of a track of their choice (< 10 awards)

  • General Rules
    • 64x64 basemap is allowed.
    • Track-/Laplength below 2min
    • Custom objects allowed
    • Envimixing allowed
    • Blockmixing allowed
    • Custom Titlepacks allowed
    • No PressForward, PressBackward or press[AnyKey]-maps
    • MTC in mapname
    • 1 map per author

  • How to submit
    • To enter a track, simply upload it and post a link to your submission in the submission thread.
    • You can update your map within the deadline as many times as you want.

  • Judging
We'll use the well known public judging system:
    • Everyone is allowed to judge, even players who submitted a map (give your own map a 10)
    • Every map will be judged with marks from 1 (bad) to 10 (good).
    • Note that you have to judge a stage entirely, you cannot judge only half of it.
More details will appear after submission ends

Good luck, and as always: If you have any questions, please ask :)

This one is a lot harder, tho :p

You should build at least 3 cps. (Going to add that to the rules) Thanks for the question :)

so one question (acctually 2)
- Can you place a space inbetween the cp's or do they really have to be placed next to each other?
- Can you use CPs wich are tilted? (tilted platform blocks, curves,...)

That seems a funny one ^^

Can I put my start or finish or multilap start in-between the different CPs?

For example : CP / CP / Start-Finish / CP / CP?

(In other words, does the start/finish count as a CP when making the line of CP?)

the uturn drama was already dificult, because i had huge problems trying to build something that isnt only zig zag SD + 180° Walls + Turnovers (in the end i did that :/ ) but this seems to difficult for me :o

does it matter in which directions the CP are? What is if i use CustomBlock CP and its is on 2 block?

No space between the cps

Start, finish or multilapstart do not count as a cp.

The direction of the cps does not matter.

Custom cps count as a normal 1 block cp (1x1 area), regardless of the custom cp's size. So if a custom cp is placed on the edge of the regular block grid, the custom cp counts for the building position it is most in.
e.g. a custom cp is 40% in 1x1 block area A and 60% in the 1x1 block area B, then it counts just as if there was a regular cp at position B. ;)

What about the stadium hoop CP (4 blocks high)?

Height is not a problem, because the cps just need to share one common height (see the rules) ;)
