The libraries were updated a few days ago. I'm not sure if it's fixed for everyone, but pages aren't hanging as much as they were prior to the update for me.

Seems to me it did the trick, been browsing around site and forum and so far after many page views i have had no slow downs

I dont have this problem anymore.
As you can see in this picture I have quite a few mx-tabs open. (opened them all now for testing.)

I use Chrome (21.0.1180.75)
