i know that this will come again...at least i hope so.
If it really pops up again on MX as BOW like on the other Xchanges i would VOTE that a Mapper can only appear ONCE in this list, till his track disappears because of the time it was in this list.

You ask why?
It would stop that Trackspamming wich we all know and would lower the chances of friendly awards, because they wouldnt have the affect of bringing the next track into it.

I agree with everything you said Markus. I still like the idea of BOTW, but one track per author would definitely be a benefit.

I agree even though I don't foresee this as a problem for some time. I think on TMXU it became apparent when the activity decreased as it is also on the other old TMExchanges.

But I also must admit that I agree with Skunky about the lack of the BOTW altogether With it gone I've realized that it actually dimishes the whole cattle mentality of just downloading tracks from that list

What I do miss though already is the "recent downloads" tab

Maybe to prevent the "cattle" thing a "Best of the Day" list should be used instead of BOTW. Just thinking out loud.

And yes, I miss the recently downloaded track thing.

Oooh and another idea! Maybe a "random showcase" thing on the homepage where it looks like a normal showcase but it's a random track that changes every time the page is refreshed. Could be cool I think, and it'd be a great way to try new tracks.

instead of the random showcase why not just ahve a random track download button where you have no idea what you are getting and you just click the button and, boom, a random track on your harddrive.

I've added BOTW. It was done very quickly and may or not work as it should. It's not one track per author and works by one week ago from the current day (improvement may be needed if necessary).

- No BOTM yet.
- No ATF (All Time Favourites) yet.

(1 track per author) - this i dont mind to have or not have,

I've pleaded for 1 track per author bow a long time ago (2006 i think) but it never happened. In 2006 i saw colleague famous authors (oh that sounds stupid but i dont know how else to say it) spam more tracks per week and I always thought (and sometimes told them personally) it was unfair to unknown builders who deserve a place in bow but end up at place '11' and never get on the frontpage.

Ps. its an exception that i have 2 tracks out this week but thats cause MX wasnt open yet when i finished my first one. It will not happen again.
