[SOLUTION]Track doesn't run online but runs great offline? 2011-10-04 05:25:15  
Hi all, some of you might already know this, others might go online immediately after reading this message to check if their tracks don't bug..

The problem:
- You've built a track, finetuned, etc for days, then you calced shadows and upped to tmx
- after a while you get (if you're lucky) a comment on the track page saying the track doesn't load online
- you get suspicious and try it out yourself and find out the comment was right.
- your track doesn't run online while it does offline or on solo mode

What i tried:
- google for help and be unlucky
- search maniaplanet forum
- search mania-exchange forum
- search maniaforum
- test the problem on 4 different server specs
(mlepp, basic install, xaseco 0.9 and xaseco 0.95)
- remove custom music
- remove 2d triangles intro which was built in forever and imported in canyon
- remove all custom codes from tracktitle
All without any luck

The solution:
- Don't use this block anymore as it was cursed by one of the recent updates:
(as it used to work fine earlier)

Yes, thank you very much indeed. Sadly i've build a track based on the coloured lights :(
So is the problem in that block only when it has pillars ?

Oh great, my 2nd track has this block used quite a lot.
I built it in beta but released in full version.
I have been reported from a server that it was quite popular there.
Gotta check that again.

actually i have no clue. i do know that block is the cause of the problem.

This problem hasn't existed always.
for example, Puppystyle 1 has the same block at the start and it works fine online.

So it's got something to do with either an update of the server side client (how servers react to the blocks) or a corrupt block on the main client (on your pc).

All other post I've read about this sofar blame the TM server part. Although I've tested this track while quickly creating an ingame server and it worked fine for me there. I haven't tested this with other players though. I'll test the pillar yes or no thing now.

strange thing is: a track from ganjarider has exactly this block in it ( a short one, i think it the one with the wallride and 12 seconds length. ) #4 and it works with dedicated.
maybe the error isn´t in dedi but in editor ? - he built the track befor last updates.
