Wondered what the complete opposite of Malacca is ?
The answer is la descente.

We're basically moving from the Strait of Malacca to the Alps of East France...

You would think that building a steep track, mostly consisting of slim roads, tunnels and other useless blocks, including complete signage with a minimal of blockmixing and cuts was going to be easy ? Canyon is supposed to be the perfect environment for that, with eccentric cliffs and all that stuff.

It's bascially impossible if you're not bennnnnnn or someone who knows how to do so. I'm not sure i'm certified for it either :p Anyway, this map will let you drive (controlled) down 384 height metres through the mountainsides towards the canyon. Needless to say it's tight - but it could always be tighter if checkpoints weren't needed :-w

This map is basically made for training purposes - I wanted to see how well I could build upwards and reverse at the same time. That resulted in a warping layout I barely have seen before. Unfortunately, the lack of realism makes it kinda lame compared to real life roads, for example Trollstigen in Norway. Yet la descente is inspired by certain techniques used to build such roads - spiral tunnels comes in mind.

Despite the mapping challenge, it surely offers poor players the same difficulty regarding the driving aspect. 45 % ordinary tech, 45 % league tech and the rest consists of straights which is kinda similar to the style seen in MX nowadays. There are quite some hefty hairpins, so watch out !
