This sounds great! I'd like to participate, but I have two questions (concerns) first:

Scenery: Does it make sense to built any? Because we don't know what the others are going to build, it is impossible to foresee where to block light f.e. or what needs to be connected later to let it look reasonable.
Maybe some people can do the scenery afterwards...

Speed: How are we supposed to calculate a good racing-line, when we don't know with which speed and from what angle the driver enters a part?

This is a great question.

I assume that, for the most part, the track itself and the neighboring parts will act as the scenery. Lighting is indeed an issue. That is why I wrote in the rules that you should add lights wherever possible, even if the part seems well lit while building the map. If it gets too dark in some parts, we can always add an MT trigger to turn on the headlamps.

One thing is for sure. A lot of coppers will already be used up with just the track parts, so people should probably keep scenery within their part to a minimum. Just do whatever is necessary to make your part of the map look complete and make it your own. Do NOT build any scenery or signage outside the 5x5 area, or it will only get deleted.

This is a great question too. You're going to have to trust me a little on this one. I'll try to fit together the parts in such a way that they flow the best and the speed works out okay. That's part of my job as the organizer and the map compiler. The parts are not being added to the final map chronologically. For example, I may start with part 14 and then add part 3, and then part 22, etc. I will mix and match parts until I find a good and natural configuration for all parts.

Sound okay? :) Are you in?

I can't imagine how you are going to put it all together with a nice flow, but I do trust you.
I'm in! ;)

Edit: I think respawnable CPs should be in the rules.

Thanks. I've PM'd you. :d

Yes to respawnable CPs! Sometimes I take those things for granted. :p

I'll add that.

"You are NOT allowed to leave open clips facing the outside of your build."

What does that mean? :$

Great idea eyebo! I would love to join and would prefer going from bottom to top.

@Hans Holo
Clips are the colored bits of blocks that connect, e.g. the black and red things at the GP parts. You can only place blocks with the same clip/connector next to it.

I want that! I try to be not lazy.

@Hans Ich denke er meint damit, dass wir keine offene stellen also zb vo neinem gp part (wo des schwarze und rote da) rausschaut aus der mapbuilding area :)

english: I think eyebo means we shouldnt place open blocks (liek the black red thing of the gp part) at the edge of our map building area. I werote it i ngerman because this sentence I wrote is so hard to understand in a right way..damn Im losing my little english skills and get closer to zero :d

Awesome idea eyebo, I'd love to join! I prefer having bottom to top, but I wouldn't mind having it the other way around.
