Just to let you know, Cxom hasn't replied, nor has he opened the PM I sent him on MP Forum. It's still in my outgoing folder.

I haven't seen him on IRC either for a long time.

Starting another project isn't a bad idea. I won't be the one to do it though. My advice would be to do something less ambitious though, with maybe a dozen builders at most... and put in safeguards in place to make sure the project can be completed even if one or more participants isn't able to complete their parts.

What about a new BASCO? That would not be nearly as ambitious and surely pretty fun

I already had a bad feeling when cxom said he would send backups to me and eyebo but never did. We should have demanded those files right away. Now we can only guess what his reason was to leave the community without a trace with 75 creations of 75 people worth hundreds of hours of work.

Anyway it's also not very motivating to see people giving up on this project and talking about a new one. So I'm not sure if anyone wants to do this anymore even if cxom shows up again.

Sad story

This "extract" contains about 20 parts (20 builders).
It is still quite a long drive by any standards (aprox 24 min lame validation run)

Maybe someone even wants to polish this a little bit and calculate Normal shadows?
