I have removed the object warning, go ahead and use them.

Do keep in mind though, that they are not always necessary; Don't confuse the driver with more visual stimuli than are necessary, especially considering the business of a track of this scale.

I still have to work out the layout for the track, as I had no idea I was taking what control I am of this project. Once it is done, I will distribute the templates.

Great to hear the project is still running :) Looking forward to seeing the final result with all these great mappers.

Only thing i am worried about is the display cost. Its going to be huge!

Indeed it will be. Given that Valley is one of the more resource intensive environments, even if players were conservative with their copper count, it is unfortunately more than likely, inevitable even that we will have some players who will not be able to play the map.

One thing that I was wondering about. Will first the low levels be build and then the higher levels to take into account the shadow throws from the higher levels to keep the map visual playable?

All sections will be built simultaneously. The mood will be sunset, so that light comes in from an angle, or night, so that all the lights function. A big emphasis in afterward editing will be the lighting. Just as D25, there are one block corridors between columns, so light will come in this way as well.

1 little thing: I don't think is necesary to calculate shadows when building each section, for they'll all be transfered to a main map which would make it necesary to do it again. Am I correct?

True that since the whole Track's shadows have to be calculated later on!

yes, each individual's map will be opened and saved as a macroblock, and then imported into the full map, connected, shadows calculated, lighting and signage dealt with.

Which reminds me:

You may submit your part in map or macroblock format, your choice

It's great that this has been taken over so quickly like this.
Isn't sunset a little bit more graphics intensive than other moods?
On a side note, I'd like to build ground level

If a spot is still available I'd like to participate and would also prefer to do a ground level build. (y)
