Does anyone here know an alternative way to reach Cxom?

He's completely inactive for months now.

Would love to get him to handover this project to me.

I do have a few sections of the track
parts
1 to 9
10 to 19
74 and 75

1) Do you think I should put them together and release so at least people get a taster of what could have been?
They make about 25 minutes of good track

2) Or maybe I could start contacting people to re-send me their parts, even if we dont get the complete 75 parts it could still workout cool.

What do you all think?

Cool that you are willing to help out pfm. I actually thought of offering my help several times but admit I got hold back by the thought of all the work. But if you need any help just tell me. Edit. seems nothing is happening.

I think it should be all or nothing. I'm sure everone wants to see their part in the track. Then again, you could release a preview version with those first 19 parts so people can have a taste and see how it runs on their pc. And once the full version comes out people already know the first 1/3. I dont see harm in that. But please don't make a half finished track. I still have my part but I'm not sure about others. So hopefully you can somehow get into contact with cxom and get his parts. And make sure cxom still gets most of the credits or he might feel like giving away his hard work.

well I think that if we could collect all parts that people are still holding and put this into a map would work.

and since large maps lagg to much why not split the map in 2-3 pieces. this will shorten the work in validating etc.
and will give everyone a feeling about how tha map is. at the end the 2-3 parts could be connected if someone is willing to do that. anyways

this way it could work out :)

Well from looking at Cxom's document about the project it looks like he was more than half way through putting everything together.
(40 of 75 parts consolidated)

I'm not overly eager on repeating all that work. (if it's even doable)
And any day he might re-appear and it would all be in vain

So I'm more inclined to release the parts I have now just as an appetizer, and then wait to see if Cxom ever comes back to finish the whole thing.

Meanwhile, are there any experienced Valley builders that wish to beta-test and help place objects and signs to improve the way-finding?
(you need to be really experienced at building intuitive Valley tracks, and a very patient person.)

thanks!

A few days ago I loaded up MP and Cxom was logged on, but he didn't reply to my chats =(

XASECO stats shows he was last seen on a server 3 days ago, so that might be good news!

(@CXOM: if you read this later, Sorry for the stalking :p)
