MTC June 2016: Shuttling hoops 2016-06-04 12:30:32

Welcome to the ManiaExchange Monthly Track Contest (MTC), June 2016.

In the MTC your task is to build a track on a given theme (see below). Later on, all of the entered tracks will be rated and a winner will be found.

  • Theme of the Month: Shuttling Hoops
No, you don't have to remake the R4 track. This theme is about jumping through checkpoints.

    • Rules are simple: All checkpoints must be fly-through.
    • The track has to have at least 3 checkpoints to qualify.
    • Ring checkpoints are allowed (if they weren't it would kinda defeat the point of the theme name), but should be kept to a minimum.
    • Extra constraint to make it spicy: The track has to be respawnable.
    • Corner case: No, you can't blockmix a ring into the ground and call that "fly-through".
    • Corner case: The cutoff point for "airborne CP" is having the car land completely after the line where the checkpoint is counted, and to do so visibly.
    • Note: Multilap tracks have the lap count as a CP, so you have to finish the laps airborne.

  • Deadline
All tracks should be submitted before the end of Sunday 19, June 2016 PDT.

  • Prize
:gold: Honour and the right to brag! (Jozii used to say that. I hope anyone still remembers him? :p)
:gold: The top 3 winners will receive a showcase of a track of their choice (< 10 awards)

  • General Rules

    • 64x64 basemap is allowed.
    • Track-/Laplength below 2min
    • Custom objects allowed
    • Envimixing allowed
    • Blockmixing allowed
    • Custom Titlepacks forbidden
    • No PressForward, PressBackward or press[AnyKey]-maps
    • MTC should be present in the mapname. Example: Shuttleloop Highway«MTC
    • 1 map per author

  • How to submit
    • To enter a track, simply upload it and post a link to your submission in the submission thread.
    • You can update your map within the deadline as many times as you want.

  • Judging
We'll use the well well well known public judging system:
    • Everyone is allowed to judge, even players who submitted a map (give your own map a 10)
    • Every map will be judged with marks from 1 (bad) to 10 (gud).
    • Note that you have to judge a stage entirely, you cannot judge only half of it.
More details will appear after submission ends

Good luck, and as always: If you have any questions, please ask :)

Is it ok if the CP time is in the air or do you have to avoid any contact with the block?
Minimum CPs?
really respawnable? this will end in ugly FS

Another cornercase just to clarify the definition, do we have to fly through the checkpoint line or the whole block?

For example here, can you land on the yellow zone?

I believe across the line on to the next block

tbh please don't awnser, wait until Osaka makes an official announcement. It already happend, that a map was DQed because a community member awnsered and the guy who asked listened to him. So just don't awnser. Osaka is the one for your questions.
