just a little question for my understanding.

The answer is generally given but why ppl download
maps this way ?
Are they maybe too shy, too proud or whatever to be
seen by the uploader ?!?
Maybe there is another reason, like a gameserver
access or ... idk.

I mean, if I made a mistake which needs an update
of the map, I'm sorry - but I don't care about these
unregistered visitors.

Well, it's definately NOT a life extending question
but I'm idd a tiny little bit curious.

I stopped downloading under my name a long time ago. I had bad experiences with downloading a track without giving an award and then authors complaining about me not giving them an award. Other than that I think 90% of visitors here don't have an account but only leech tracks. Also blame the tmnf community for staying behind in old stadium and not supporting nadeo by moving forward to TM2 and creating more activity here.

I didn't expect this, and as it seems there are some
ppl who are real idiots to complain someone, only
because they don't get awards or something.

I think I've talked earlier abou it - maybe it's helpful
to restrict map downloads to registered members ?
But this would imply your named reason - your name
is listed.
But for this case - I got my own solution for bugging
idiots: "Ignorance is strength"

Anyway, at least it's understandable if you don't wanna
be seen. Idiots rule the world and not all of them can be
ignored.
