On this day, 6th of December 2017, Finland celebrates 100 years of independence.
I'm proud to present my map for the Christmas Calendar Project of 2017.
Suomi'100
For this track I wanted to make something that felt personal and had a connection with Finland.
As a person that grew up in the Finnish archipelago, I often skied and skated on the ocean ice during dark winter mornings. This was the main theme i ended up going for in my map. To increase the winter feeling I thought utilizing the mesh modeler would be a nice idea. I ended up making some ice sheets and an icicle. Even if they are low quality I'm rather happy how they turned out. I even ended up using the ice sheets not only as scenery, but also as a part of the track.
The track itself is a one minute fullspeeder with some smooth jumps and transitions. I didn't go too crazy with them as i wanted the track to be playable and enjoyable for everyone. It is pretty clear that I put more time on the scenery, which ended up being 18559C, than on the track. I'm really happy with the outcome of the track and i hope you will enjoy it as well!
