Changing the way download counts are incremented will ruin statistics we gather for anonymous users. We rely on statistics to see how well the site does and for historic purposes. For instance: hosting. We'll use download statistics to make the right choice on what bandwidth to use (number crunching involved).

So, no. The way we track download counts won't change.

It was something I suggested a few pages back as a compromise.

1 track per author in botw. If a user has other tracks that qualify for botw, they won't be listed outright. Instead, a little icon will appear in the row on the list, indicating the author has more than one track that qualifies for botw. Mouse-over this icon (or the row?) and a little list will be displayed that links the users other tracks, much like the screenshot thumbnail mouse-over feature.

I think that counting thing was slightly offtopic anyway.

What remains are the following ideas which imo are all good.

- 1 track per author in the botw on the frontpage.
- 'show more' button to see a complete list of the botw without filters
- a mouse-over thumbnail such as the screenshot thumbnail
- button for botm and atf.
