For example:
I am the best Techdriver on the planet. I build a 90Sec Techmap. But only when i drive PERFECTLY i get a 1:29.99 . In Tech there is an huge gap between the skilllevels. So the judges would only get a 1:39.54 . So no one could beat my AT... and they disqualify me because of this "impossible" looking map?
What is when my map is a maze? I know the "right" path and get a 1:29.99 . But no one else got it, they only found the "worse" way with 2:30.00 ... Still disqualified?
what is when i build the hardest track ever, no one can finish this but iam able to finish the map in 1:29.99 (because of skill). Still disqualified?
As I said, if it's OBVIOUSLY impossible that the AT is as good as it is, the track will be disqualified. In cases where the judges are unsure if the AT is valid, they will ask for a replay. A 10+ second difference (in a ~90s map) between
all judges and a participant is something I've never seen in the MTC, it's not realistic - there are usually some rather experienced players among the judges and judges that are completely new to the game aren't generally the first choice to ask to judge.
As for the maze, again, a replay would clear everything out, but a dedicated judge should find the quickest route, or one of the quickest routes anyway. If that doesn't happen (if it's too hard to drive the route or something), I don't think the map will score too high.
And as for the "hardest map ever", if a judge can't finish it because you're the "best player" and the map is seriously the hardest map ever, then you probably get really bad scores or the judges can refuse to judge it. I don't see why you'd build a close-to-impossible map for the MTC anyway, if none of the judges can finish it you'll probably end up with 0-5 points.
Nobody goes around DQing maps just for fun, of course a replay would be asked (unless it's completely obvious that the map doesn't fit the rules - for example, if the limit is 30-90s, and the AT is 0:45.00 but the judges finish the track in 0:15.00) and if the replay seems okay, then the track will probably be qualified. It might not get high points if it has some really weird route or if it's just way too hard, but that's not a valid reason to disqualify a track, naturally.
Osaka has the last word in everything of course (and the other hosts), as said I'm
not hosting this month, just pointing out a few facts about the pasts (that probably apply now, too, though).
